My friend Judd posted a premise about The Iron Lich. He’s going to run a few sessions. I will run sessions with a different group and different game systems. Then we’ll get on the podcast to talk about our games. Afterward, we’ll play our own sessions against the Iron Lich. So this month’s one-shot is Troika: In the tombs of the Iron Lich. I’d eventually like to run this premise with other game systems.

Troika is billed out as a rules-light, science-fantasy RPG. I know it gets a lot of indie game love, so I want to get it to the table and see what’s what.

Tales from the old lands speak of the Iron Lich and their manufactured tombs. There has been a strange construct found just south of your town in the Starfall Hills. A scouting party sent a week ago has yet to return with news.

Gauntlet Open Gaming Weekend

Gauntlet Community Open Gaming is Sept 22-25th. Sign up to run events and/or come out and play! My current 30-session Twilight: 2000 game started at GCOG, so you never know! I’ll likely run another T2K one-shot and something in the Tombs of the Iron Lich.

RinCon is back. Tucson's Tabletop Game Convention is teaming up this year with Tucson Comic-Con. Paul Beakley and I will be there running stuff alongside all the usual suspects!

Big Bad Con

Oct 27-30 is the return of my favorite game convention. Big Bad Con! I will be there, running games, including (hopefully!) the alpha rules for Lifted: Indomitable!
